Eastside Family Place’s workshops are facilitated by community professionals and are scheduled on a monthly or bimonthly basis. Most workshops are short, two hours or less, and are usually only one session. Workshops are provided at no charge for ESFP members and childminding is available, no charge, for children aged 18 months to early six years

Join us in the 2nd of Eastside Family Place’s webinar series: Parenting in Challenging Times, as Dr. MacNamara speaks to parents of the importance of raising resourceful and resilient children, especially in today’s reality. Find out how adults play a key role in cultivating the roots of resilience that have lasting effects on their children’s capacity to endure adversity and find a way through.

Deborah MacNamara, PhD, is on faculty at the Neufeld Institute, author of the best-selling Rest, Play, Grow: Making Sense of Preschoolers (or anyone who acts like one), and operates a counselling practice supporting families. She is a dynamic teacher and experienced counsellor who makes developmental science come to life in the everyday context of home and classroom.
