As part of the Drop-In Centre program, community professionals visit ESFP and provide parents and caregivers with convenient access to resources and support services.
- Health-Care Professionals: Ongoing regular visits from health care professionals include monthly community health nurse consultations, dental assistants, nutritionists, speech and language therapists, and regular visits from the local children’s librarian.
- Organizations and Professionals: Local organizations and professionals provide monthly information table talks on a variety of topics, such as childcare, healthcare, legal issues, financial planning and other topics of interest to parents.
- Resources and Referrals: Located in the Drop-In, ESFP has a resource library of local community resources relevant to families. Additionally, ESFP’s Family Support Worker is available for personal one-on-one discussions and referrals.
- Clothing Exchange: ESFP offers a free clothing exchange that is maintained by community donations: parents can donate to or take from this exchange. The clothing exchange closet is located in the Drop-In Centre. If you are donating to the closet, please only bring clean, gently-used clothing, footwear and accessories for babies and young children. Thank you.
