Oct 7, 7-8:30 pm Webinar Series Parenting in Challenging Times: Taking the Lead – Parenting with Compassion and Coping
Join us during Vancouver’s Family Place Week as we welcome Cathryn McPhee in this first of a series of monthly online workshops from a variety of parenting and child development experts. The overall theme is Parenting in Challenging Times.
The focus of the workshop is on how we can tap into our capacity for compassion to help not only our children cope with this rapid pace of change but also ourselves as parents, partners, and workers. Self-compassion can reduce stress and anxiety, and is key for supporting resiliency in ourselves and others.
Cathryn McPhee is a mother of two, and a Parent Educator/Facilitator with Information Children (SFU) and also a Heart Mind Well-being Facilitator with the Dalai Lama Centre for Peace and Education. Cathryn has her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and MEd in Health Education focusing on Child and youth Social and Emotional well-being.
