Our Summer Fun Students:

Yvette Duente

Hello, my name is Yvette. I am a 16-year-old of Chinese, German, and Spanish descent.
My main hobby is listening to the music of different genres, such as Classical, Kpop, Vintage, and Foreign. Another passion of mine is sketching realistic humans and intricate dress designs. Not only do I enjoy playing and watching soccer, but also Chinese folk and hip-hop dancing. At the moment, I aspire to be a fashion designer or a neuropsychologist.
My favourite subjects in school are French and Humanities, as I have a deep love for both French culture and discussions regarding social issues. My philosophy in life is that there is a reason for everything, as this is the key to having peace with one’s self.

Grace Patterson

Grace is an alumni of family place. From ages 1-6 she used to come with her mom almost every day. Now she has come full circle and is working as a summer hire. Grace has recently completed grade 11 at Templeton high school. Her passions include film and books. She spends almost all her spare time either reading or writing. Grace also loves baking and has recently been trying to get into crafting. She has been babysitting for years and loves working with children. Her dream in life is to one day travel the world as a writer/filmmaker/teacher. She is more than thrilled to be rejoining the community at East Side Family Place.
