Community Food Cupboard

Unfortunately, food security is a daily reality for many families that frequent Eastside Family Place. To help address fundamental needs and to promote food security, ESFP offers a number of food programs. ESFP’s Community Food Cupboard provides free access to food staples for families to take home. This resource is particularly important to support the nutritional requirements of developing young children and pregnant women.

Please support ESFP’s Community Food Cupboard by making a donation today. If you would rather donate food staples, the following items are recommended:

  • Proteins such as canned and dried fish, meats, cheese, beans and legumes
  • Canned, frozen and dried vegetables and fruits
  • Rice, pasta, whole grains
  • Soups
  • Dairy and dairy alternative tetra packages

Thank you to all the individuals and community members who have donated or who make regular donations to the Community Food Cupboard.

Food-Cupboard

I actually asked Family Place for a Quest card, so that I could access some food security. And it really goes to show, I never ever in a million years saw myself in that situation. It was really phenomenal for my family to access that for about the 6 weeks that we needed to.”
